Its been a long time coming, but finally Pokemon fans will be able to collect yet another exclusive pokemon. On February 3, 2008, Gamertell reported that a Darkrai event was scheduled for the United States. Thanks to a tip from reader Jess, it has come to light that dates have finally been set for Darkrai distribution.
To coincide with and promote the release of the latest Pokemon movie on DVD, Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai, the actual pokemon will be given out at all Toys”R”Us stores. On May 31 and June 1, 2008, from 12-4pm, owners of Pokemon Diamond or Pearl will be able to stop by the store closest to them and unlock the special inn key required to unlock Darkrai in their games.
The Darkrai event is completely free, all you need to do is stop by to pick up your pokemon. Took Nintendo long enough to going with this promotion. Perhaps if we’re lucky, we’ll see a Shaymin event before 2009. Darkrai is pretty awesome, so if you haven’t used an Action Replay DS to unlock the event to acquire him, you may want to make sure to note the date.

I think this coming Darkrai Distribution is not the Inn key (because even the japanese did not use it 'coz the hackers already discovered it way before their Darkrai movie and the USA release of D/P versions)..
I think Toys R' Us will distribute the same movesets of Darkrai like in the japanese movie (the one w/ Roar or Time and Spacial Rend).
They might. It hasn't been announced how exactly it will be distributed.
I do know that I used an AR to unlock the event in my game, and it resulted in an inn key.
