That is a sales feat most game companies can only hope to reach and, for some, it might take years to accomplish. Last week, fans had more reasons to go out and pick up another copy of Call of Duty 4 with the release of the Game of the Year Edition ($59.99), which features four new multiplayer maps. These maps can also be downloaded via Xbox Live for 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
Released two week ago, more than one million downloads of the Varity Map Pack have already been downloaded. PS3 user, not to be left, out will get their chance to get the new multiplayer maps on April 24, 2008, through download on the PlayStation Network for the same $10 price tag, which will no doubt push sales beyond even Activision or Infinity Ward’s expectations.
