Scrubs soaks human Space Invaders

Thanks to the miracle of TiVo/DVR, I didn’t even see the return episode of NBC’s series Scrubs until last night. The good part is that I didn’t miss the homage to Space Invaders. Check it out:

For those of you at work and have all things YouTube-ish blocked, JD and Turk have the interns line up like the attacking aliens in the classic arcade game Space Invaders. They slowly march side to side while the ebony and ivory duo toss water-filled balloons. One unlucky intern (in red scrubs, of course) is designated the mother ship.

Good times.

Scrubs is in its seventh final season which will likely be shorter than a normal season due to the writer’s strike (and waning interest in the series). The episode featuring the Space Invaders segment was titled “My Bad Too” and aired April 10, 2008.

BTW: If you watched the season opener, there is a spoiler spoken in Spanish near the end of the show that reveals/spoils a little about one of the major relationships in the series.
