huxleySouth Korean publisher/developer Webzen’s forthcoming massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS) Huxley has been stalled since it was first announced in 2005. Unfortunately, beyond a few new videos, little information or even a friggin’ release date has been offered.

While Huxley has undergone beta testing in Korea, there has been no word of when the MMOFPS is due to get into the hands of North American players.

Thankfully, we might finally be able to play Huxley sooner rather than never with the recent announcement that NHN USA has picked up the distribution rights for Huxley. Don’t expect to see the game on shelves, though, since NHN USA is looking to publish the PC edition of Huxley in North America and Europe through the online portal IJJI.

Founded in 2006, IJJI is the most popular online game portal in Japan, Korea and China with more than six million registered users. Most of its games are free to download and play, but there is no word yet if this means that Huxley will also be free (don’t count on it).

Webzen has also confirmed that Huxley will be released for the Xbox 360. There is no mention of when we can expect to see Huxley on the 360, but it will come after the PC launch.
