The Sims 2 expansion pack I’ve been dreaming of has finally been announced. EA has just announced that on August 22, 2008, Sims 2 fans will be able to pick up the Sims 2 Apartment Life PC expansion pack. Also a new DS game, Sims 2 Apartment Pets, will be launching the same day.
The Sims 2 Apartment Life expansion will allow players to create apartment buildings from five new building types, create playgrounds and coffee shops, control more than one family at a time and create reputations for each individual sim. Of course it will also come with new outfits, building materials and items. Two specific additions named are spiral staircases and high ceilings.
The DS game, The Sims 2 Apartment Pets involves raising animals while living in an apartment. It sounds quite similar to the Sims 2 Pets DS game. Like all of the Sims 2 DS games, it will involve players guiding one sim through life and feature quite a few mini-games.
Finally! I was getting so tired of using the Sims 2 University expansion items to create pseudo-apartments. Now I’ll finally be able to create real apartment buildings. I’m definitely picking up this expansion when it’s released.

I think sims need to get more virtual games online for free that everyone can play… Love this game
I don't think The Sims 2 has any free virtual online games, actually. It is a neat idea though.
I love The Sims 2 as well, and I can't wait for The Sims 3.
It would be great to see EA introduce an add-on for serviced apartments. Sydney Sims 2 lovers all agree that giving your Sims the advantage of having their apartments cleaned and serviced daily would make the whole experience so much more enjoyable. If only we could as easily re-create the Sim world in our own apartments!
