Browser games can really be a great way to pass the time. Especially since they don’t require massive downloads (except for Flash or similar updates) and you can play from any computer. So it’s always nice to hear about a new browser game being launched, like The Legacy of the Holy Castle. The game has just entered the open beta phase, and players can sign up to build their own kingdoms.
After creating an account, you are declared a warlord and given the opportunity to create a hero/minion to assist you. You get to name the hero, decide his/her appearance and choose 2 skills for him/her. You then are sent to the castle page. Since Legacy of the Holy Castle is a text-based game, this means you will be navigating through quite a few menus and a lot of text to start building up your castle so you can train your army, recruit more heroes and survive.
As you can tell from the image above, my castle isn’t doing to well. My hero is also out on a quest searching the area for treasure. I’m kinda regretting the hero mission, since it means he’ll be gone for a half hour. Every action in Legacy of the Holy Castle takes time. Hero missions take around 30 minutes, the Town Hall takes 12 minutes to build, and planting technique research takes seven minutes. Also, 120 gold pieces come into my kingdom each hour, accompanied by 2,520 food. So far I’m a little unimpressed, but I’ll stick with the game for a day or so just to give it a fair chance.

hmm. seems interesting. trying it out.
Its somewhat lackluster, and takes quite a bit of time to get anything started. >.<
not entirely true. My castle is actually not doing too badly and I started shortly after I made the account.
Perhaps I've just been spoiled by games like Perfect Warrior, Nation States, Mabinogi and Trickster. XD
ummmm. Nation States has more text and takes more time.
I do not know how to play the game.
((
only bu clicking the button to upgrade is not interesting.
