The biggest order of the day for the Playstation Store last week, undoubtedly was the Metal Gear Solid 4 Database, which is a compendium of everything in the Metal Gear franchise. Hopefully this means Hideo Kojima is breaking out the tragic biography of my favorite Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake boss, Running Man: The World’s Fastest Mercenary.
This week’s update, on the other hand, is a bit more Plain Jane. It’s times like this when I get very jealous of the Japanese Playstation Store. Did you know that Square Enix is putting some of their classic PS1 titles on there? Among those listed there, Einhander is fine example of gaming during its renaissance and even though Xenogears is on the weak side, it represents a much less cynical effort than most of the dreck that reaches shelves in this day and age.
A pity we don’t get anything that cool. But anyways, it’s list time.
