The game, being developed by Sierra, will feature the voices of most of the other cast members, including (according to Das Gamer) Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, William Atherton and Annie Potts, among others. Moranis, the article says, made enough money from the Honey I Shrunk franchise (that includes movies, parks rides and other silliness) that he just retired. I’m guessing he didn’t want to sit in a recording booth for a day spouting one liners and juicing up his Canadian accent.
So much for the Louis Tully the Keymaster, eh? I do a pretty decent Moranis impression a la Bob McKenzie. Maybe Sierra can hire me. I’d even wear a tuque.
Ghostbusters: The Gameis expected to be released October 21, 2008, for PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, DS, and PC. In the game you’ll get to play as the fifth Ghostbuster, zapping ghosts and otherwise saving the city.
