E3 2008: Press conference, keynote schedule

It’s time to gear up and mentally prepare for the onslaught of gaming goodness known as E3 2008.

To get started, here’s a list of the announced company press conferences and two keynotes. We’ll be Live Blogging several of these conferences, so watch the site for constant updates all next week. For a taste, check out our 2007 coverage.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (aka E3) is a media-only event presented by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) taking place July 14 through 17, 2008, at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) in Los Angeles, CA (USA).

It is interesting to note that Microsoft has secured the first conference (on a weekday, even) and, of the big three console makers, Sony is taking the cleanup slot the following day.

Monday, July 14

• 10:30 am – Microsoft press conference
• 12:30 pm – Square Enix press conference
• 3:00 pm – EA press conference (Orpheum Theater, 850 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90014)

Tuesday, July 15

• 9:00 am – Nintendo press conference (Kodak Theatre, 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA)
• 11:30 am – Sony press conference
• 2:30 pm – Ubisoft press conference
• 4:30 pm – Capcom press conference (LA Convention Center, Room 403, Concourse Hall)

• 9:15 am – E3 Keynote by Gov. Perry
• 10:45 am – Take-Two press conference
• 1:00 pm – “State of the Industry” keynote by ESA CEO Mike Gallagher
• 2:30 pm – Konami press conference
