Joystiq recently posted a (grainy) video from Anime Expo 2008 showing off Soul Calibur IV‘s Star Wars themed stage. Apparently titled “The Star Destroyer Landing Bay”, it looks an awful lot like the area where the emperor made his first live-action appearance in Return of the Jedi. Fanboys (and girls!) correct me if I’m wrong.
The stage looks incredibly cool, with an epic space battle going on in the background and a Death Star looming large over the starfield. One quick note, however – the video is best viewed with the sound turned way down. The “commentary” in the background is insanely obnoxious.
