This is Vegas

When we think of Vegas images of flashing lights and casinos instantly come to mind. Vegas is known for high stakes action, fast cars, and early mornings you can never remember. In This is Vegas, due to be released in 2009 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, the reputation of sin city is under attack by a man who wants to transform Vegas into a tourist trap for families. It’s your job to create an empire in true Vegas fashion and keep things flowing like it used to be.

In order to be the head honcho in This is Vegas you have to be well connected so getting the various people in the game to like you is prime. Of course it’s going to take more than a smile to become the king of Vegas. Raising your reputation can be done by winning big at the tables, street racing in the underground circuit, and beating down anyone that’s bold enough to get in your way.

This is Vegas takes your character from being the everyman on the street to the guy that can blow thousands of dollars in five seconds without breaking a sweat. When you meet the right people you’ll get into the best clubs and bars. From there it’s only a matter of being the center of attention. It’s really up to you to decide how people notice your character. For example, you can be one who keeps the party going by dishing out drinks. Or try your hand at being the guy who takes out any trouble makers.

To bring Vegas back to its former glory you’ll need to get on good terms with four factions that run the city. These groups are named the Diamonds, Clubs, Spades, and Hearts. As you do more to impress them you’re street cred and money obtained will increase. These factions will respond happily if you win poker tournaments or run casinos with an iron fist. It also doesn’t hurt to have a few celebrity friends to stand by your side. The bottom line is money equals respect.
