Mr. Slime for DS oozes all over the US

Maybe the idea of of having a slimy Nintendo DS isn’t your idea of a fun time but perhaps playing as a ball of slime is. Southpeak Games announced today (July 23, 2008) that Mr. Slime is officially on store shelves all across North America. Mister Slime is an adventure game with puzzle elements and some nifty elements that make the overall experience even more unique.

Using the DS’s touchscreen, you command Slimey to use his four arms to latch on to certain anchor points to navigate around the level. You can also blow into the microphone to send Slimey flying on gust of virtual wind. Your character may be made of slime but he can’t hold his breath forever. In the event Slimey is low on oxygen, the microphone can also be used to provide Slimey with extra air bubbles.

Mister Slime takes place in a world where two clans, the Slimes and the Axons, are constantly fighting over limited resources. The two clans set up a ritual where a battle takes place every forty years to determine which clan owns certain territories. Since this arrangement is clearly not working, Slimey takes it upon himself to stop protect his clan from the Axons attacks.
