EA, WildStorm creating comic based on Mirror’s Edge

DC comics is currently producing comics based on popular videogame titles. It was announced earlier this year that DC and Epic Games were collaborating to produce a comic based on Gears of War. DC’s WildStorm label snatched up the opportunity to make a comic about Prototype and now it’s trying its hand at EA’s upcoming first-person title Mirror’s Edge.

The first limited edition issue of the comic created by EA’s DICE will be distributed at Comic-Con 2008.The comic will be broken down into six parts and provides a bit of a background story about Faith and how she got involved with her Runner friends. It’s also going to shine some light on what happened in the city that turned it into the police state that it is.

The comic is written by Rhianna Pratchett who happens to be behind the script of the game. No doubt the authenticity and feel of the comics will resonate with the game when it is released.
