Kingdom Hearts 358/2 given an ambiguous “Winter” release date

Square Enix’s Japanese 2008 DKΣ3713 party revealed both sketchy and solid information on the DS Kingdom Hearts entry, Kingdom Hearts 358/2. First, the somewhat unsettling news – there isn’t a definite release date. Reports from DKΣ3713 state it will be out this winter, but does not provide a year. So it could be out before the end of 2008 in Japan, or it could be out in the early months of 2009.

There was some solid information though at the event. Organization 13′s 14th member was revealed in a trailer shown at DKΣ3713. She is a girl named Xion who apparently resembles Kairi and will play a major role in KH 358/2.

Hopefully KH 358/2 will still manage to make it out in time for the 2008 holidays, but if it gets pushed back to, say, January or February 2009, that won’t be too bad. At least if there is a delay, it will only be slight.
