Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People

Telltale games has built quite a reputation for being the place to go for traditional point-and-click games and is responsible for episodic adventure games including Sam & Max series and upcoming Wallace and Gromit games. Telltale announced yesterday (August 5, 2008) that the first episode of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People titled Homestar Ruiner will be released simultaneously on WiiWare and PC on August 11, 2008.

Homestar Ruiner will be the first of five monthly episodes of the series based on the popular animated web comic, Homestar Runner. Episodes can be pre-ordered now on PC for $8.95 each or you can opt for the full subscription for $34.95. The Wii version of the game will cost 1000 Wii Points for each episode. The Wii version contains features unique to the console such as the ability to send in-game pictures that attach to Strong Bad inspired emails to send to friends.

The first episode of Strong Bad sports an amusing story involving Strong Bad’s rival Homestar Runner. Strong Bad originally plans to pummel Homestar senseless but changes his mind when he realizes he could defeat him in the Free Country U.S.A. Tri-Annual Race to the End of the Race. Unfortunately Strong Bad’s plan backfires and now he must figure out how to get Homestar to move out of his house and back onto his feet.
