Fight aliens for resources in Mytran Wars

The PSP drought may be coming to an end, as Stormregion is developing Mytran Wars, a new PSP exclusive title that will be released by Deep Silver. The only thing is, a release date hasn’t been announced. That’s okay. Just knowing a new strategic game is in development is enough to warm PSP owner’s hearts.

Mytran Wars involves players stepping in on the human side of a war between Earthlings and aliens. People have used up all of the natural resources on Earth in the 23rd Century, and have been using space travel to search for a new source. They find a perfect planet, but the alien inhabitants already living there aren’t too happy about humans coming to harvest. Big surprise.

So players will build a mechanical units and to battle against the aliens. There will also be a multiplayer aspect (most likely ad-hoc), where players can face off against other players.

Now, this may just be me, but Mytran Wars sounds a bit – vicious. Humans, who were stupid enough to use up all their natural resources, go searching through space for a new planet to tap dry. When they find one, that just happens to be inhabited, they then decide to declare war on and fight the alien inhabitants (who were there first and frankly had every right to defend their planet) so the can take everything.
