Prison Break

We know that game tie-ins to a movie usually end in utter disaster. Ironically enough those games tend to sell very well despite their quality. Brash Entertainment knows that which is why they’ve published movie games including Jumper: Griffin’s Story, Alvin and the Chipmunks and Space Chimps. Brash’s latest endeavor moves beyond cinema adaptations and into television with a game based on the television show Prison Break which is scheduled for release in February 2009 on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Proof of the games existence came from an ad inside the Prison Break Season 3 DVD box set telling us all of Brash’s plan. As of right now there are no screenshots, gameplay footage or hint of a plot for the game (although it’ll probably be about someone breaking out of prison). If it is to make its February 2009 release date, I’d expect to hear more about this game as Fox gets ready to premier the fourth season of Prison Break on September 1, 2008.

Prison Break is a show about a man named Micheal Scofield who intentionally gets himself arrested and thrown into prison after his brother Lincoln is framed for murder. The entire first season involved Michael using various connections on the inside to formulate a plan to break himself and his brother out of prison. Season 2 and 3 of the show had the two brothers along with a few other escaped convicts running away from the law until most of them were either dead or back in custody. From the previews I’ve seen, Season 4 is all about sweet, sweet revenge.
