X Blades: A hack-and-slash game where you take on many, many, many foes all at once. Take the main character Ayumi (represented by this woman in the photo) through 40 levels of deadly danger, Kill Bill style. For the Xbox 360 and the PC.
Ninja Town: Based on the designer toys by Shawnnimals, this cute little tower defense style game for the DS Lite pits cute little ninjas against the attacks of Mr. Demon.
Big Bang Mini: A fireworks shooter game for the DS plays a lot like Missile Command. Basically, you shoot things with fireworks, and if you miss, the fireworks sparks will hit you. It is a lot more fun than it sounds.
TOW: An acronym for “Things On Wheels,” you will enter a world where you can operate a remote control car on some very unique terrains.
Raven Squad: This was one of the most interesting games that I encountered at PAX. It is a combination of a first-person shooter and strategy for the Xbox or PC. You command two squads with four soldiers each, and each soldier has a different specialty. You can toggle between soldiers, squads, or gameplay allowing you to play in FPS or overhead mode. I will definitely cover this one again in a future article.
All of these games will be available soon on various platforms from SouthPeak.
