(fluff)Friends Facebook app hosts a Pirate Treasure Hunt

The popular Facebook application (fluff)Friends is now holding a Pirate Treasure Hunt to celebrate International Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19, 2008). Initially, on September 5, 2008, all (fluff)Friends users were able to click a link and receive free pirate decorations – a Pirate Cove habitat, a pirate hat, an eyepatch and a wooden sword. Now an official treasure hunt for Ya-Wobbloons and gems has commenced.

Each (fluff)Friends profile has a new box added to it that says “Treasure Hunt” on the top and has a “Dig!” button below it. You simply visit once a day, click and hope there’s something hidden there. If there is, you’ll receive a gem and a Ya-Wobbloon. Sometimes you’ll have to feed or give a gift to that pet though, before you can get the prize.

After you’ve collected enough Ya-Wobbloons and gems, you can visit the (fluff)Friends Pirate Treasure Hunt Shop or the Croc’s Treasure Trove. The Pirate Treasure Hunt Shop carries Croc O’Dyle and (happy)Whale megaminis, pirate decorations, pirate habitats and a (iridescent) gem exchange. The Croc’s Treasure Trove lets you make jewelry, swords and crowns from the various gems you’ve collected.
