Sam & Max: Season One 1 Wii box artIt’s been a long time coming, but Sam & Max are finally going to arrive on the Wii. On October 7, 2008, Telltale’s Sam & Max: Season One will be available in stores for $29.99 – not bad, considering you’re getting six episodes. Fans of the game may have already picked up the PC version of Sam & Max: Season One when it came out in August, 2007, but the Wii version has a few improvements, like widescreen support.

The Wii version of Sam & Max: Season One also has a preorder deal through GameStop. If you place a preorder, you get an extra CD with your game that has a “Making of” Sam & Max: Season One featurette, art, tracks from the soundtrack, wallpapers, art and game trailers.

Maybe the long wait is for the best. After all, Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, another point-and-click adventure game by Telltale, has been released as Wiiware on the Wii. Perhaps fans of that will pick up Sam & Max Season One to satiate their need for adventure while waiting for Strong Bad episodes.
