Dissidia: Final Fantasy’s cast revealed

The long wait is over, as both Siliconera and PSP Fanboy have revealed the final two heroes appearing in Dissidia: Final Fantasy – Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) and Terra Branford (Final Fantasy VI). This news comes directly from the Tokyo Game Show 2008, which is running right now in, you guessed it, Tokyo Japan. Unless Square-Enix decides to pull a last minute surprise and include characters from Final Fantasy XII, this is the final cast for the FF-themed fighting game.

This news comes after the recent announcement of both Bartz and Exdeath (FFV) as playable characters in Dissidia. This news also bring the number of female fighters in the game up to two. Three, if Cosmos, the goddess of light, is also a playable character. I’m still hoping Square-Enix decides to squeeze in perhaps Ashe and Vayne from FFXII to boost the female fighter count. Since Dissidia comes out in Japan on December 18, 2008, that’s pretty much just wishful thinking.
