Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena blossoms

MumboJumbo has decided to take a bunch of casual game concepts and jam them all into one game with the newly announced Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena. The title, which will be available in stores in December 2008, incorporates elements of hidden object, puzzle and adventure games. It also is the first game of the just announced Samantha Swift series.

Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena stars Samantha, as she searches through six different areas to find the shield of Athena and Athena’s missing Roses for The Secrets Lost Museum. At the same time, treasure hunter Ravena Stryker is waiting in the wings to snatch any valuable items Sam might find. So you have to help Sam find all six of Athena’s Roses, and other assorted objects, so she can add them to the museum and keep a treasure hunter from selling them. There are 50 levels and 700 hidden objects in the full version of the game, as well as Hidden Object and Puzzle-Solving Adventure modes.

After Scrapbook Paige and Fashion Apprentice, its refreshing to see a hidden object game that features a female protagonist who’s an archeologist and museum curator. As for Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena, both the demo and the full version, which costs $19.99, require a Windows PC. The demo is a 110mb download and provides a brief sample of the game, so if you enjoy hidden object games, you may want to check it out.
