TGS 2008: Tekken 6 Announced For 360, PS3

Namco Bandai Games has confirmed that Tekken 6, the latest installment in its popular Tekken fighting series, will be coming to the US for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in Fall 2009. The game was originally launched in Japanese arcades last year (November 26, 2007).
According to a recent press release, Tekken 6 will boast the “largest character roster” of the series to date. Although a full character cast has yet to be to detailed, you can find a list of the 39 characters that appeared in the arcade version of the game on the official Japanese Tekken site.
Speaking at the Tokyo Game Show earlier this week (October 8, 2008), Xbox Live corporate vice president John Schappert also confirmed that the Xbox 360 version of the game will include the “Bloodline Rebellion” update, which introduces Alisa Boskonovich and Lars Alexanderson as playable characters.
In addition to an extensive character roster, Tekken 6 — the first entry in the series to appear on a non-Sony home console — will boast high definition visuals, enhanced character customization features and online multiplayer.
