According to the ESRB, that is.
While researching a rumor about Marvel vs. Capcom 2, we stumbled upon a listing for Street Fighter Alpha 2 coming to the Playstation Portable and Playstation 3. What’s particularly interesting is that this news comes hot off the heels of Capcom’s announcement that Sakura, the schoolgirl fighter, is being added to the Street Fighter 4 roster. The ESRB listing shows that the game will be rated Teen and published by Sony Computer Entertainment America.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 was Sakura’s debut in the series. This also follows only a month after the first Street Fighter Alpha came to the PlayStation Network.
Now of course, this doesn’t mean anything concrete but perhaps Capcom is wanting to celebrate the series before the release of their latest entry. Or maybe it’s just a celebration of one of the greatest Street Fighter games of all time (second only to Street Fighter III: Third Strike to us fans).
Finally, this could be some mix up on the ESRB’s part. We’ll be shooting Capcom a message hoping for some clarification, so check back soon kids.
