Previous Nirvana tracks “In Bloom” from the first Rock Band soundtrack and “Drain You” from the Rock Band 2 soundtrack will be joined by seven additional Nirvana tracks later this month, according to a recent press release issued by Harmonix and MTV Games.
The new tracks will be available for the Xbox 360 on October 21, 2008 and for the PlayStation 3 on October 23, 2008. Individual tracks will be priced at $1.99 (160 Microsoft Points) while the full pack of seven tracks will be available for $10.99 (880 Microsoft Points) — a saving of $2.94 compared to buying each track individually.
The full list of tracks is as follows:
“Breed”
“Lounge Act”
“On a Plain”
“Polly”
“Something in the Way”
“Stay Away”
“Territorial Pissings”
Each of the aforementioned tracks is the original master recording and can be used with both the original Rock Band and the more recent Rock Band 2. The latter game launched on the Xbox 360 on September 14, 2008, and will be coming to the PlayStation 3 tomorrow (October 19, 2008). Wii and PlayStation 2 versions are also slated for a December 2008 launch.
