Like all EA games, Spore is no stranger to patches to improve and fix gameplay. They’re a fact of life, really. The latest patch, v1.02, has just been released for PCs, with a Mac version promised in the near future. This latest patch addresses a lot of issues, with a focus on making it easier to delete and ban creations you don’t want in your game and also fixing Space Phase issues. The “Bad Baby” achievement has also been removed.
The exact fixes and alterations, taken directly from the press release, are as follows:
In all, this patch addresses 28 different game issues. After seeing all this, I’m kind of glad I decided to wait to purchase Spore until a few patches were released. Hopefully these latest additions will make PC Spore players’ experience a little more pleasant.
