Scary Deal: The Darkness for Xbox 360 only $5 on Amazon

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve pretty much made it my mission to make sure each and every one of you are scared senseless this Halloween. The latest game I’m sending your way isn’t exactly scary but it’s fitting for this time of year.

The Darkness was a really fun game when it was released in 2007. You can now pick it up on Amazon for a mere $5. Yep, for less than a typical value meal at your favorite fast food establishment, you can be the proud owner of The Darkness for Xbox 360.

The Darkness is based on a comic book but it’s not totally necessary to know the game’s canon to get into it. This gritty first-person game is about a hitman named Jackie Estacado. His family is plagued by a curse that reveals itself on the 21st birthday in the form of darkness powers. Using these black serpent like creatures, Jackie sets out to get revenge on his uncle Paulie who keeps trying to kill him. Jackie’s powers improve in strength by feeding the darkness the hearts of people you kill. You’ll never get tired of watching the darkness feast upon those hearts.

The Darkness also has a multiplayer mode even though it was spotty at best. Trust me when I say the single player experience is all you’ll ever need from The Darkness. The last hour of the game is the most satisfying by far. The Darkness will consume you and your Xbox whether you want it to or not.
