Exclusive Persona 4 merchandise available through Amazon

It seems as though Amazon wants to be taken seriously as a video game retailer to its market because it’s teaming up with Atlus to offer some very rare and exclusive merchandise corresponding with the release of the very anticipated Persona 4 (P4) being released this winter.

For only $29.99, fans can obtain the appropriately named Social Link Expansion Pack which includes the following:

• Persona 4 music CD containing tracks not found on the CD packed with the game
• 100% XL cotton t-shirt featuring Persona user Konohana Sakuya
• Persona 4 2009 calendar that has been exclusively designed for this pack
• 8 and 1/2 inch tall Teddie plush direct from the game

Similar in fashion to the marketing pattern many may be familiar with regarding pre-order of titles through EBGames, Amazon has begun advertising Persona 4′s game exclusives and bundled extras (even though every copy of P4 will include the extras regardless of where you buy the game from).

Amazon has the edge on most retailers though since it will be offering Persona 4 at the very competitive price of only $36.99 and that’s completely tax free. It might also be worth noting that Amazon is also advertising Atlus’s Eternal Poison (due for November 11, 2008) for the same frugal price.

It sounds too good to be true to be able to get these two Atlus gems for just under $40.
