Pirates of the Caribbean will be cursed on Halloween

Wow! Pirates of the Caribbean Online has been around for a year already! It feels like longer, doesn’t it? Anyways, Disney Online has decided that a celebration is in order, to celebrate not only Halloween, but to celebrate the massive multiplayer online game’s successful first year. So there will be an All Hollows Eve Curse of the Muertos Moon in-game event.

This event will last from October 31-November 2, 2008. Jolly Roger and his undead pirate army has invaded the game, and he’s inflicted his Muertos Moon curse on the whole Caribbean. It sounds like your pirate character may be able to become undead, as the information on the official page says that any pirate which will be struck by the full moon will be cursed.

There are three times each day when the full moon will shine over the Caribbean:

• Oct. 31, 2008: 12pm, 5pm and 8pm
• Nov. 1, 2008: 12pm, 4pm and 9pm
• Nov. 2, 2008: 1pm, 4pm and 7pm

So if you play Pirates of the Caribbean Online, then stop by today or this weekend and see what the Curse of the Muertos Moon is all about.
