Persona 4Don’t you just hate it when a special edition version of something you’ve already bought comes out. Especially when its a special edition version with loads of extra content. Imagine, then, how original Persona 3 buyers felt when eight months after they purchased their version of the game, Atlus released Persona 3: FES, which included extra content and a whole extra game.

In order to help mend any still-broken hearts, Atlus has just announced that Persona 4, which comes out December 9, 2008, will not be rereleased with additional content. So Shin Megami Tensei fans, open your hearts and trust again. This time, you won’t get burned and have to sell your game copy back to GameStop so you can get an FES edition.

Don’t worry though, if you buy the game you’ll still get something special. Every copy of Persona 4 comes with a soundtrack featuring some of the game’s music. Persona 4 is going to cost $39.99 when it hits stores.

Personally, I didn’t mind much. The whole Persona 3: FES thing, I mean. I waited to buy the game because I had a feeling FES would be released in the US after I heard about it, and I didn’t want to buy the game twice.
