Xfire hosting Eve ’til EVE Online event with $2k in prizes

Xfire, a free online community site, will be hosting the Eve ’til Eve Online MMO competition from December 15 through December 31, 2008.

EVE Online is a MMO sci-fi game that allows players to take on the role a multitude of races and jobs all of whom are seeking fame and fortune for themselves while surviving a hostile galaxy. Characters are all customizable and roles include pirates, mercenaries, spies and bankers. EVE Online also features more than 5,000 solar systems for players to explore. Players interested in trying EVE Online can download and register for a free trial account of Eve Online.

Prizes for the EVE ’til EVE Online event are worth up to $2,000 and include:

• One (1) Grand Prize Winner who play up to 40 Hours or more on EVE Online will be awarded an EVE model ship of choice, a one-year online subscription, one year subscription to EON magazine, a EVE stategic maps book and an EVE Online T-shirt.
• Three (3) Gold Prize winners who played from 25 to 39 Hours will receive a one year EVE Online subscription and a one year subscription to EON magazine and an EVE Online T-shirt.
• Five (5) Silver Prizes winners who played 10 to 24 Hours are eligible to receive a 6 Months EVE Online Subscription with a 6 Month subscription to EON missile and an EVE Online T-Shirt.
• Ten (10) Bronze Prizes who played 2 to 9 Hours are eligible for a three months subscription to Eve Online magazine.
