It seems a bit of a belated announcement. Circus Games came out October 21, 2008, and Movie Games followed shortly after on November 4, 2008. Perhaps Ubisoft wanted to call attention to the Family Fest line with Christmas and other winter holidays approaching, in the hopes that parents would pick up either game. After all, some people may look at games, see “Family” and “E” and then automatically decide that would be a good gift.
Ubisoft is certainly becoming quite well known for its game lines, perhaps it is even better known for these (possibly shovelware) titles than it is for its legitimate games. Let’s review, shall we? Ubisoft has the Petz line of virtual pet games, the Imagine line of “simulation” games for girls and Ener-G sports games for girls. Did I miss any? The series must be popular, as every time I look in a GameStop or Wal-Mart, I see another two or three entries in the series.
