Grand Ages RomeIf you’re looking for a strategic simulation that will have you building and expanding an empire, then you may want to wait for Grand Ages: Rome. Kalypso Media is teaming up with Viva Media to bring the title which has you carving and expanding the ancient city during the time period where Caesar reigned. A definite release date hasn’t been announced, but it will likely be released sometime in 2009.

Grand Ages: Rome doesn’t sound familiar to you? Maybe you’re recognize it if you heard its previous title, Imperium Romanum 2. Kalypso Media decided to change the name back in November, 2008.

At its heart, Grand Ages: Rome is your typical city management sim. You try to expand Rome, protect it and build a massive empire. This can be done in a campaign mode, where you actually deal with historical events and play through the story, or in a freestyle mode. There is also going to be some sort of online multiplayer mode implemented in the game.
