Warstorm’s world gets bigger with Demon Expansion

Online adaptations or variations of collectible card games are starting to really gain a solid foundation of fans. I suppose that could be why Challenge Online Games is expanding Warstorm to provide more new cards and powers. The newest expansion to the free-to-play, browser-based, MMOCCG is called the Demon Expansion, and aside from adding general new cards, it also adds in the Demon faction.

Originally, Warstorm only had Elf, Human, Orc and Undead cards to play and build decks with, but the Demon faction adds in a whole new element of gameplay. This expansion means 170 new cards will be out there to play with or hunt down. You’ll also be able to use 15 new abilities in battle.

I was going to sign up for Warstorm so I could give a little more insight on how it works and what the new expansion offers, but unfortunately, it’s temporarily down. I tried at 12:01pm, CST on December 12, 2008 to sign up, and just received a routine maintenance message. Oh well. Perhaps they’re doing a little tweak or two to make sure the Warstorm Demon Expansion works perfectly.
