Game Informer spills Guitar Hero: Metallica details

Ever since the dawning of the Guitar Hero pandemonium, we knew it was coming. Further credence was unleashed when Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was revealed and the war for songs between Guitar Hero and Rock Band had begun. Now, we have finally have some concrete details about the game 28 years in the making: Guitar Hero: Metallica (21 years because the band formed in 1981).
Game Informer unleashed the new details in this month’s issue in which they received an exclusive look at the music-rhythm game. Faux rockers will be able to take up the drums, mic, bass and guitar in their attempt to reach headbanging high scores on over 45 tracks that include a mix of Metallica songs and the songs that influenced them.

That’s not all kids, GH: Metallica will also feature a bevy of additional features including GHTunes-exclusive instrument tones of Metallica guitarist James Hatfield and Slayers bass player, Tom Araya. For the drummers in the group, a new freestyle drum mode, as well as a new Expert Plus drum difficulty, “Metallifacts,” which allows you to watch performances with trivia pop-ups, and behind the scenes footage of the band.
No release date or price was given out but it sounds like the game is coming together in a timely manor and will offer up enough incentive for purchase for Metallica fans.
