I gave the demo a try and, while it isn’t revolutionary or earth shattering, it’s free fun. Its basically a tutorial and then sends you to a graveyard level to practice what you’ve learned. It isn’t too bad for free. Windows 2000 or better and DirectX 9.0c or better are required to play the 275mb demo.
I wonder if Oxygen Int. and Twelve Interactive slightly postponed the game because of storyline changes or some other unexpected delays. Originally, a DS version was also scheduled to be released. The original description of the game was slightly different as well, as it had CID acting as an agent to save his scientist creator’s dummy clone of his dead daughter, M.I.A. from a rival scientist in a post-Global Warming world. Now the story is set in a world where because of frivolous lawsuits and such, everything has to go through numerous safety tests. Professor B. M. Werken and D-Troit, who together owned a Crash Impact Dummy plant, fell out, something rotten’s happening and it looks like CID will be sent to save the day. I guess the same M.I.A. abduction storyline could still fit in there.
