Home has already started going through a series of growing pains, from reportedly being hacked, to losing its ability to support voice chat. The hacking and voice chat problems have since been addressed, with the latter coming with an unexpected stipulation in order to prevent its abuse.
With this new patch comes new restraint. Those who wish to take advantage of Home’s voice chat capabilities can only use it in private spaces. This can most likely be interpreted to mean in closed areas, along with one’s own apartment or locale.
This is actually a good decision for Sony as it will prevent questionable language from coming out of the mouths of visitors there and it will actually make Home a worthwhile place to visit for individuals of all ages.
Now that Sony has fixed the voice chat function of Home, it can attend to other features such as allowing more options for players to entertain themselves, lessening the transference time between spaces, updating content on a constant basis and finding a way to make the girls at Home actually sound like girls.
