Supreme Ruler 2020 Global CrisisParadox Interactive has just made it in time to sneak Supreme Ruler 2020: Global Crisis out in time for Christmas. Well done! This expansion pack to the political strategy game adds loads of new content to the game, as well as some tweaks to make the game look better and easier to play.

Global Crisis really sounds like it refines the Supreme Ruler 2020 experience. For example there are 20 new scenarios to play through, new multiplayer scenarios, a new map that has a storyline that includes World War III, new events, better controls over groups, the ability to rename battle groups, flags on units so you can better identify them, new units, extra in-game guidance and some extra options have been added to the game lobby. It definitely sounds like the BattleGoat Studios, the developers behind the Supreme Ruler 2020 games, put a lot of effort into making this expansion worthwhile for Supreme Ruler 2020 owners.

Supreme Ruler 2020: Global Crisis is going to be available via three online game distribution sites – Direct2Drive, Gamersgate and Impulse. I took a peek over and only Gamersgate has a page and listing up for it at the moment. It did only just come out December 22, 2008, so maybe it is just taking a bit longer to appear on Direct2Drive and Impulse. There are conflicting release reports at sites, Paradox Interactive‘s official site says that it will be available through all three websites, while GameZone says it will be available on Gamersgate and Direct2Drive. Let’s go with what the Paradox Interactive announcement says, since Global Crisis is its game expansion.

Well I would definitely agree that a LOT of effort was put into Global Crisis – but I think we put in more than Paradox :)

  2. Oh! I'm sorry, I just was going by the press release and two other sites and I didn't see any mention of BattleGoat.

I'll revise the article to give BattleGoat its proper due. Again, sorry about that.

  3. No problem at all! We're happy getting the press :) Merry Christmas!
