GOG.com Fallout 1 Fallout 2 Holiday BundleIf you were hoping to buy someone a present online and have it shipped to them, chances of it arriving on time are incredibly slim. So, perhaps it is time to look into downloadable gifts. GOG.com, a direct download video game distribution site, has just announced that it will be selling five special holiday bundles from December 23 to 31, 2008. Each bundle comes with between one and three games, and is under $10. So, if you want, you can get a nearly guilt-free gift for yourself.

The bundles offered are:

  • Descent I and II and Decent 3 + Expansion with soundtracks, wallpapers and avatars for $9.98
  • Fallout and Fallout 2 with soundtracks, wallpapers and a guide for $9.98
  • Freespace + Expansion and Freespace 2 with soundtrack, wallpapers and ref. cards (whatever those are) for $9.98
  • Lionheart and Stonekeep with soundtrack, wallpaper and official art for $9.98
  • MDK and MDK 2 with soundtrack, wallpapers and official art for $9.98

Before you download, you may want to check and make sure your system is compatible with the games you’re buying. You definitely need either Windows XP or Vista to play.

GOG.com also has announced that, during this sale period, if someone who’s already purchased one of the above titles wants to get the other game in its bundle, they can for $4.99. (So said person will only save $1, as opposed to $2.)
