Nintendo has finally decided to join the “now generation” and offer a little bit more in terms of multimedia – at least in Japan. According to a recent item at Gamasutra, the company just signed a deal with advertising firm Dentsu and “will include some ad-supported but free videos, and some pay-to-watch videos”
The post contains the official announcement of the partnership:
The for-pay videos will reportedly cost 100 to 400 Wii points (that’s $1-4), and they sound like a test run for Western markets. What do you think – will this work out as well as everything else Nintendo does these days? Or are people getting their video content in enough places these days?
