PlayStation Home isn’t getting the best response from PS3 owners since the open beta phase started about a month ago. Sony assures its consumers that Home is still in the beginning stages and that new and exciting features are on the horizon. The Red Bull gaming space, new store fronts and free t-shirts from Resident Evil: Degeneration are supposed to come out this week.
At CES 2009, Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai announced that EA will be breaking into home with the EA Sports Complex.
The complex will let Home users congregate with fellow sports fans and provide exclusive multiplayer games to the service. Leaderboards will be available for everyone in the community to compare their accomplishments with each other and there is a possibility of launching games from within the EA space. This is apparently only the beginning of EA’s support of Home. Additional expansion plans will be announced in the future.
