Star KartsDue to its popularity, the DS often becomes a haven for games designed to appeal to a wide audience. An audience that includes established gamers, as well as those who only occasionally play or have never owned a handheld system before. MumboJumbo and phenomedia have decided that it is the perfect platform to release somewhat casual action, racing and puzzle Crazy Chicken games on. So, the Moorhuhn Atlantis Quest, The Pharoah’s Treasure and Star Karts DS games will be released as Crazy Chicken games in the US.

All three games are fairly standard and typical entries in each genre. Star Karts is a racing game, where you are a chicken racer going through outer space themed areas in a customizable vehicle. The Pharoah’s Treasure is a puzzle game with some mini-games tossed in. Atlantis Quest appears to be a standard, side-scrolling action game where you have to get from point A to point B.

All three games are scheduled to be released in North America sometime in 2009, but are already available in Europe. In fact, if you stop by Moorhuhn.com, you can check out screenshots and information on all three DS games. Frankly, I wasn’t all that impressed by it. I saw the chickens and started having Chicken Shoot flashbacks.
