Get ready to cook with SpongeBob on the DS

Another Spongebob games is in the works, and this time it sounds like it might just be a Cooking Mama clone. THQ, responsible for other Spongebob games like , Spongebob Squarepants: Atlantis Squarepants, Spongebob Squarepants: Creature from the Krusty Krab, will be bringing Spongebob Squarepants Frantic Fry Cook sometime in March, 2009. An exact release date hasn’t been given.

Spongebob Squarepants Frantic Fry Cook is going to be a DS exclusive game, as players will be using the touch screen to cook while working at the Krusty Krab. There will be 25 different activities that players will have to master in order to cook over 100 recipes. If you do well, you can also help make the Krusty Krab look more inviting. You’ll also be able to work together with friends to create the best possible meals. The official press release also promises Tom Kenny is attached to the project as Spongebob’s voice actor.

Spongebob Squarepants Frantic Fry Cook will probably do well in its target group based solely on the fact that Spongebob’s the star. If THQ is smart, they’ll make sure the cooking mini-games are well crafted, so the Nicktoon fans will get a quality game for their money.
