Along with the usual episode of Qore and Pulse, this update marks the debut of downloadable games Magic Ball and GTI Club+. While these two games may cost the same ($10), they both require gamers to test different parts of their skills; one will require quick mental reactions, while the other will require players to be accurate judges of when to properly apply the gas pedal for maximum speed.
Gamers that are fans of mental challenges and strategy-based RPGs should be pleased with the add-on content that is available this week. For those that purchased Brain Challenge from the Playstation Store, an add-on pack is now available that will feature additional minigames and multiplayer challenges, along with a new Creativity Mode. Senior Test and Special Kid modes are also available in this update, allowing for more individuals to experience the game. This pack costs a mere $5 for those that want to strain their brains.
Fans of Disgaea 3 will be pleased to see additional content for their game as well, in the form of additional packages for new characters such as Pram and Zetta for $2 each. However, if you want to purchase the entire character pack, it will set players back $4.
Snowboarding fans can look forward to new additions in Shaun White Snowboarding game, with the new content costing anywhere from nothing to $10. The $10 packs will result in players receiving new terrain to race in and additional gear, while shelling out nothing will merely grant you additional clothing with which to customize your characters.
Musically-inclined players can look forward to new tracks in Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band this week. Guitar Hero World Tour has song packs from Roy Orbison and Lenny Kravitz this week, available for $10 and $7 this week.
Themes, demos and trailers also make a welcome return to the Playstation Store; however, for gamers who desire to really test their skills, Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins, a game previously released on the Playstation Portable, is now available for download on the PSP and for play on the PS3. For $20, it may or may not be a worthwhile purchase.
This update is certainly more feature packed than the last one, here is hoping that Sony can keep it up!
