Sure, Harmonix is on to bigger and badder things these days, what with the massive success of Rock Band (and the first two Guitar Hero titles that almost single-handedly birthed the rhythm-music genre), but CEO Alex Rigopulos is still interested in making a sequel to the developer’s awesome Amplitude. MTV is reporting on a recent interview in which Rigopoulos stated an interest in continuing the ultra-funky series.
From the post:
I would love to see an Amplitude sequel – Frequency (the prequel) and Amplitude were two of the coolest, most fun pre-Guitar Hero music games ever made. Sometimes I even prefer to throw Frequency into the old PS2 instead of starting up a GH session. Those games had a purity and a slickness that just can’t be matched. I hope this happens – even if it’s far down the road at this point.
