Mass EffectMass Effect was a really good game for the Xbox 360, despite constant pop-in textures and frequent slowdown during battles. The choices made by the conversation tree had consequences that effected the rest of the game. It would also be great if the saved data from Mass Effect could be transferred in Mass Effect 2 since we know the game will be making an appearance at GDC 2009.

In the mean time, anyone who hasn’t yet experienced Mass Effect has the chance to pick up a special 2-disc version from GameStop for $19.99. Pre-orders are being accepting now until the game ships out on February 10, 2009.

The first disc contains the complete Mass Effect game and the second has bonus commentary, trailers, design galleries and the Bring Down the Sky downloadable content. Bring Down the Sky was the first episodic dlc content to be released. It takes place on a new world where a hostile race has taken control of an asteroid station and is looking to crash it into Terra Nova. Playing through it takes about 90 minutes and has an extra achievement to be unlocked.
