Retro Game Challenge release creeps closer

The release date for Retro Game Challenge is getting closer, and soon, on February 10, 2009, we’ll all be able to enjoy classic video games that never really existed on our DSes. In a way, it’s a bit of a blessing that the US is seeing Retro Game Challenge at all, since its based on the Japanese tv series Game Center CX. Luckily, Xseed knows a good game when it sees it.

The game has you playing “classic” Nintendo style games, all specifically created for Retro Game Challenge. There are action, racing, shooting games included, and even a full RPG. The main story of the game has you meeting certain challenges in each game, but you can also just play the full games for fun.

Okay, everyone has to go get it now. Why? Because a sequel that looks even cooler (How is that even possible? I don’t know! But it is!), Game Center CX 2, is due out in Japan in February, 2009. If Retro Game Challenge does well, maybe Xseed would take a chance on Retro Game Challenge 2.
