Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is a challenging game to finish.

This is a statement that many gamers are apt to agree with, however, whether that challenge stems from trying to complete the main quest or finishing specific objectives in peripheral quests, the fact remains that Fallout 3 is a meaty game that will not prove easy for gamers to conquer.

Gamers who are able to complete Fallout 3’s various challenges will be rewarded with a satisfying ending. They will also have the opportunity to sink their teeth into some delicious downloadable content.

Or, at least they will if they have an Xbox 360 or a PC.

Owners of Fallout 3 for the Playstation 3 will not have the opportunity to enjoy the delectable downloadable goodies that are made available to owners of the other two systems. In speaking to MTV Multiplayer, Todd Howard of Bethesda made it clear that at the moment, the company has no plans to add additional content to the Playstation 3 version of Fallout 3.

Xbox 360 and PC owners of Fallout 3 are understandably pleased with this piece of news, as it allows them to stake claim to content that distinguishes their version of Fallout 3from what is available on the Playstation 3. In fact, they would also remind them of how Mirror’s Edge, another game that saw a multiplatform release, saw the inclusion of downloadable content exclusively for the Playstation 3, and leaving out the 360 and PC versions of the game.

Though this move does represent a clever business action by Microsoft, there has to come a point where content can be released for games irrespective of the system that it is on.
