It is with this expectation in mind that Microsoft is considering making the acquisition of Resident Evil 5 easier, ,provided that you are willing to purchase an Xbox 360 in the process.
According to 1UP and Ars Technica, Microsoft is planning to release a specialized 360 bundle that will include a red Xbox 360 with a hard drive, a red controller, a copy of the game, an exclusive Resident Evil 5 NXE (New Xbox Experience) Theme and a voucher to download Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix for free.
This bundle is extremely tempting. In fact, it sounds like a deal that I would definitely be apt to take advantage of. Unfortunately, Microsoft has not unveiled more information about this product. Items such as the bundle’s pricing and the size of the hard drive (or if it will have one at all) are pretty crucial. It is disappointing that Microsoft is choosing thus far to remain mum on this issue.
Resident Evil 5 is expected to be released on March 13, 2009. That doesn’t leave a great deal of time for Microsoft to show their hand. Let’s hope that this bundle proves itself worthwhile.
