McFarlane Toys is releasing a series of figures and replicas based on the wildly popular music game Guitar Hero. Now in stores is a group of “mini-guitars” that allow you to mix and match heads, necks and bodies to create your own custom guitar. They’re sold as singles and duets with a total of 12 body styles and paint variations. Each tiny little axe has its own custom stand, too. They retail for from $6-8 and are available at stores like Gamestop and Toys R’ Us.
The company is also releasing figures of popular in-game characters Slash and Johnny Napalm. Slash is the first real life rocker to appear in the figure series. The 10-inch figures have more than 18 movable parts and guitars interchangeable with the other Guitar Hero figs. They start at $10.
For the numerous Halo fans out there, McFarlane is bringing you action figures that will finish the fight right on your own mantelpiece. There’s a special redemption program http://www.spawn.com/halopoints/that allows collectors to pick up some exclusive artwork only available through this promotion. Among the items you can get are a Halo 3 lithograph and a 5-inch gold Master Chief figure.
